The first thing that you should do in order to lose weight is to speed up your metabolism.
There are some particular foods that are proved to improve the metabolism, but you can also improve your metabolism by adding some spices to your regular food.
Scientists from the University of Medical Sciences in Iran conducted a survey in order to check out whether adding certain spices to the food contribute in the process of losing weight. For this purpose they included 88 women who were divided in two separate groups. All of the women had problems with excess weight. Both of the group were given advises about healthy eating and they all consumed 500 calories per day in a period of 3 months.
The difference was that the first group ate 3 grams of cumin powder a day, mixed with 140 g yoghurt. At the same time the other group consumed the same amount of yogurt without adding cumin powder to it.
After the period of 3 months the members of the first group (the one that added cumin powder) have lost about 14 pounds more compared to women who drank plain yogurt. What is important for us is the reason why the respondents were losing weight. It is obviously due to cumin powder and the filosterole that it contains.
We advise you to try this spice and see how it acts. It doesn’t mean that you will have to add it to yogurt you can add it to any food.
